Product Details

The small butane gas cartridge (also known as canister butane gas or portable butane fuel canister ) is a common portable fuel, widely used in small gas appliances such as camping stoves, portable hot pots, and spray guns.

Operating manual

  • Operation instruction (4)

    Confirm equipment compatibility

Ensure that the stove or equipment you are using supports the butane gas cartridge (usually in standard screw or snap-in interface). There may be minor differences among different brands, so it is recommended to use the original factory or certified compatible gas tanks.
  • Operation instruction (3)

    Installing the butane fuel canister

Insert the cartridge gas canister vertically into the slot at the bottom of the stove. A "click" sound indicates that it is securely fastened.
Some equipment requires rotation for locking. Please follow the instructions for operation. Before installation, check if the gas cylinder valve and the stove interface are clean and undamaged.

  • Operation instruction (2)

    Ignition Usage

Open the gas regulating valve of the stove, then ignite (it is recommended to use an electronic igniter or a long-handled lighter). Adjust the fire intensity to the desired level. Avoid burning at the maximum power for an extended period.

  • Operation instruction (1)

    Replacement and Disassembly

After use, first close the gas stove valve and wait until the flame is completely extinguished before removing the gas cylinder.
If the gas cylinder is not fully used up, it should be stored properly. Ensure that the valve is tightly closed and store it in a cool and ventilated place.

Safety precautions, Prohibit the following actions

  • It is prohibited to use in enclosed spaces (such as vehicles, tents, small rooms) to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning or gas accumulation from causing an explosion.
  • Do not store near open flames, high temperatures or direct sunlight. The gas cylinder may expand or even explode when heated (butane has a low ignition point, it can vaporize at approximately -60℃, but the pressure increases dramatically under high temperatures).
  • It is strictly prohibited to puncture, burn or forcibly dismantle empty tanks, even if there may still be flammable gas remaining inside the "empty tank".
  • Do not use upside down or at an angle (unless the equipment explicitly supports it), otherwise it may cause liquid butane to spray out, leading to a fire.
  • Prohibit children from coming into contact with or operating.

The storage time for butane fuel canister of this type is subject to certain limitations.

  • The official and industry consensus is: a safe usage period of 2-3 years.

Most gas manufacturers, fire departments, and outdoor safety guidelines state:
For cartridge gas tanks (butane gas cans), it is recommended to use them up within 2 to 3 years from the date of production.
Even if not opened and in good appearance, there are safety risks after more than 3 years, and continued use is not recommended.
    Reasons:
The sealing ring of the tank (made of rubber or plastic) will age over time, resulting in minor leaks.
The internal pressure may change due to material fatigue or slow gas penetration.
Poor storage conditions such as high temperature and humidity will accelerate the aging process.
  • Some materials mention a "10-year shelf life"? Be cautious in your understanding.
