Product Details

The tin can screw-on cap is a type of bottle cap with four or six threads, which is a classic packaging component that combines functionality and aesthetics. Its production integrates metal processing, coating chemistry, and precision mold technology. It has wide applicability and continues to be dynamic in the mid-to-high-end food, beverage, and pharmaceutical sectors today, where consumers increasingly value sustainability, usage experience, and product quality. It can be used for glass bottles, ceramic bottles, and plastic bottles, etc., and has become an important green alternative to plastic screw caps. The main difference between the four-threaded cap and the three-threaded cap lies in the number of threads; the four-threaded cap offers better sealing functionality.

Precautions for using the bottle caps

The tinplate twist off caps of our company have been baked at a temperature of around 200℃, meeting the national food hygiene requirements. Generally, they do not need to be cleaned. In special cases, such as in cold filling, if they are soaked in water at a temperature above 80℃ for 5 to 10 minutes before sealing, the sealing effect will be better. The surface of the sealing glue of the twist off caps has a lubricating effect of wax. The melting point of the wax is 82-85℃. The selected wax is in line with the hygiene and safety of food packaging materials. If you need to remove it, soak it in water at a temperature above 90℃ for 5 to 10 minutes. The bottle cap that has been soaked in water needs to be capped within half an hour. Avoid keeping the bottle cap in a humid environment for a long time, as this may cause rusting at the cutting edge of the cap.

Common Mistakes When Sealing the bottle caps

"During the sealing process, the tighter the rotation, the better the sealing performance."
The sealing of glass cans is mainly determined by the vacuum degree inside the bottle, rather than relying on the engagement of the claws and the threads. Usually, it is in accordance with the standard bottle mouth (FD/GP1), and the sealing is completed when the cover claws enter 1/3 to 1/2 of the bottle mouth thread line. This is considered a relatively ideal fit. Simply tightening the bottle cap and the bottle screw together will not necessarily achieve the desired effect. It is prone to excessive sealing, causing the claws to deform, the screw to over-tighten, resulting in rusting of the claws, chronic leakage, and problems such as skipping the sealing during sterilization and jumping of the cap. Therefore, during the sealing process, one should apply appropriate force and stop when the position is correct.

"When the safety button is pulled down, it indicates that the bottle caps is properly sealed."
When a certain vacuum is formed inside the container, the safety button will drop. However, the fact that the safety button has dropped does not necessarily mean that the vacuum level inside the container has reached the required standard. When the canned food is transported from low-altitude areas to high-altitude areas, if the external air pressure decreases or the temperature outside the can rises, and if the vacuum degree inside the can fails to meet the requirements, it may cause the vacuum to rebound. For different bottle cap types, the required vacuum levels are as follows:
